Over the last couple of years, and especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, I participated in several online/COLAB film projects, so it came to my mind that I could use this principle of cooperation for an idea I have.
I wanted to make a documentary road film from my own footage, but also yours, that would be your answer to the question "What do people put on their car mirrors?"
I wanted to see what it is we put before us on the path leading towards the great new world - what we love, what we believe in, whom we pray to, whom we kiss, what we listen to, what we hope for...?
Most people don't put anything on their mirrors, maybe scented Christmas trees, but those who hang various and unusual things have their own special reasons, motives, desires. They speak more about individuals than about nations.
People all over the world recorded footage of a minimum duration of one minute, with an IT tone, i.e. with atmospheric sound. Some recordings came in 4K resolution, and some in HD. Everyone had absolute freedom in the recording method when choosing a phone or camera, in the sound or commentary accompanying the recording. Day and night recordings, rain, snow, mountains, cities, deserts, seas, highways... everything was desirable.
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who sent us their videos!
I hope we will enjoy some future cooperation.
